It’s a great pleasure to give the readers of Americana UK a first listen to the latest single to be released from Israel Nash’s upcoming new album ‘Ozarker‘, which is released on Loose Records on October 20th. The single will be available on all the usual platforms from tomorrow but right here and right now you can hear Israel Nash singing an anthem – a driving anthem at that – about the need to break free of constraint and get out on the open road. We feel it is both metaphorical and literal at the same time.
The album, as we’ve noted previously, reflects on two things that have shaped Israel Nash – heartland rock and his roots in the Ozarks. Of the former he says “I think the reason so much of that classic heartland rock and roll endures is because it touches on themes we all feel so deeply: desire, struggle, commitment, escape. As an artist, I’m always aspiring to touch as many people as possible, and that’s what this music has always represented for me” whilst of the latter he notes “I was born and raised in small-town Missouri, all the people and the stories and the music that shaped me come from that part of the country, and I could feel it calling back to me on this album.”
Great new song and video
