Track Premiere: Michael Gay “Sleeper Cab”

With a rolling early rock and roll feel Michael Gay captures a certain spirit of travel across the States, endless roads rolling by.  ‘Sleeper Cab‘ plays straight into the mythology of the road, “traffic’s going slow, we’re singing along to some Johnny Cash that’s playing on the radio….we’re going to Jackson, we’re going to mess around.

Michael Gay co-wrote ‘Sleeper Cab‘ with Jake Jones, inspired by an article he read online about couples that also work as long-haul trucker teams and have really decked out rigs. “I just thought it was a nice picture of what it looks like to chase a dream but also make the most of where you’re at.

Sleeper Cab‘ is taken from Gay’s upcoming album ‘Make it Right’, which is released on June 18th.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
