Track Premiere: S/J “Never Win”

Today’s premiere here on Americana UK is the fourth single from Seth Jude Richard, who records as S/J, ‘Never Win‘ will be available everywhere tomorrow via Thousand Islands Records, but it’s right here right now.  On ‘Never Win’ S/J is duetting with Liv Wallace, the singer of breakme!, and she is also known for her many acoustic punk covers.  ‘Never Win‘ sees the duo challenging each other and doubting, ever doubting: “If only I saw what you see in me / Maybe I could be that man” even in the face of reassurance.

S/J says of ‘Never Win‘ that it “is a song about meeting love and the things we do to keep it, or sabotage it. Some feel maybe we don’t deserve love.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
