Two Bird Stone “When Somebody Can See Your Soul” – Listen

Two Bird Stone are a band of seasoned musicians, who’ve been sidemen and studio players for a diverse line-up of big names – from Carly Simon to Bo Diddly and many in-between.  Led by songwriter and singer Liam Thomas Bailey they’ve worked up an album ‘Hands and Knees‘ of folk richness, which is out on September 11th on Soundly Music.

It represents Bailey’s first release in a decade, and the first single ‘When Somebody Can See Your Soul‘ came out last Friday.  Bailey acknowledges that the song’s theme – of getting a strong connection at first sight of someone – is not a new one but, as he explains “There is a deep and beautiful mystery in a soul’s ability to recognize another in an instant. While ‘When Somebody Can See Your Soul’ tells a familiar romantic story in-line with the concept of ‘love at first sight,’ the spirit of the song suggests that this phenomenon is platonic as well.”

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
