Take the time to absorb this hauntingly beautiful new song from Aude Langlois. There is an unsettling sense of mystery throughout the video, culminating in the final scene when the characters in the narrative close themselves inside a house and look out on the rain. The atmosphere created is a deliberately dreamy sort of melancholy, helped by shooting the video in cinemascope on LOMO vintage style anamorphic lenses originally from Russia. Langlois is a French musician, based in Germany. Fluent, in English and German, she sings here in her native French, reinforcing the intimacy of the scenes captured in the German countryside of Bad Düben. Look out for Langlois’s new EP, due for release on 28th August.
