Here’s LA-based Cole Gallagher’s latest single ‘Stumbling in the Dark’.  The atmospheric vampire-themed video features Gallagher pining after his fanged girlfriend.  Like previous singles, it has the feel of a doomed romance, reinforced by the artistic black and white visual.  Underpinned by flowing, rolling drums, the song’s introspective verses then burst into anthemic choruses, showcasing Gallagher’s excellent vocal range and character.  Once again, Gallagher proves himself to be a fine songwriter and one to watch.

Gallagher says of the song: “‘Stumbling in the Dark’ is a song with a piece of the story missing.  I intentionally left it out so whoever heard it could fill in the blank for themselves and reflect their own life experiences into it. This song really captured my state of mind and where I was at emotionally in my life when I wrote it. As for the music video, Nielson Hubbard and Joshua Britt did a truly amazing job of creating a story for this song.”

The single comes from ‘Confluence’, Gallagher’s brand new EP, produced by seven-time GRAMMY-winner Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton, Jack White).  This debut release features collaborations with the 400 Unit and David Hidalgo of Los Lobos.  The quality of the players is matched by the songcraft displayed on the EP’s six tracks, which are a strong mix of Americana, southern roots rock and blues.  Cole Gallagher is an outstanding new voice on the Americana scene.  Enjoy.
