Kezia Gill’s Life You Always Dreamed Of is an uplifting, life-affirming song that celebrates her life in music. She says, “Nothing beats doing what you love for a living. The fact that people keep supporting me means I can live my dream every day.” Musically, the song is a tuneful vehicle for her dramatic singing voice, which really soars towards the end of the song. The accompanying video takes us on a visual journey through her career, starting and ending with charming footage of her singing as a child; it’s a poignant reminder of her perseverance and the long-term, hard-won nature of her success.
Gill says of the video: “This is an emotional one. It feels like watching 35 years in three and a half minutes. The song itself is an honest unveiling of my place in the music industry; a promise to keep pushing and a determination to prove that I have something to say – I feel this video shows how I have physically done that; years’ worth of gigging, rowdy pubs and big dreams, all leading to a hometown show at the iconic Rock City in Nottingham, celebrating my first Number One album. I’m proud of myself, and I’m proud of this video.”
Life You Always Dreamed Of is the opening track on recent album release All On Red, which dropped in January 2026 and reached Number 1 on the Official UK Country Albums Chart. Gill will be taking her fabulous live show to a series of festivals this summer, including Bearded Theory Festival in Derbyshire, Country on the Common in London, The Long Road Festival and the first State Fayre Festival in Chelmsford, where she has a main stage slot alongside the likes of The Lumineers, Kings of Leon and Alanis Morissette. If you get the chance to catch her live, do so; she’s a powerful performer with a forceful voice that will stop a festival crowd and demand attention.
