The opening notes of the fiddle on ‘Never Been Here Before’ by Noble Jacks immediately lock in the vibe of this video.   The band is seen performing the track together in a one-room studio.  Like all bands that were waylaid by the pandemic, Noble Jacks have crafted a new album during their downtime when forced off the road.  COVID ended up giving the band a full album of new songs and also allowed them to find new ways to be creative from home, the band explored co-writing via Zoom with the likes of Katherine Priddy and The Wandering Hearts. “That was a great experience and pushed our skills outside our comfort zone,” reveals singer Will Page. “We are really happy with the songs that came out, it feels like there is some light at the end of the tunnel and we are thrilled to have an album up our sleeve for the reopening of live music.”

Along with Page, the band’s current line-up includes George Mccanna – Guitar, Lawrie Miller – Drums, Jack Hosgood – Bass and Jim Baldock – keys. Noble Jacks alternative Americana and hard-hitting live shows guarantee this wild and free-wheeling music never stands still. “The UK Americana scene has such a strong community of artists and fans… and the music is so broad,” laughs Will. “Our musical influences are a wonderful mix of classic heroes from the 1960s up to contemporary artists, that all merge together into an amazing mix. UK Americana has a really unique sound due to the influence of traditional folk and folk-rock.” As fans of Americana heroes such as Bob Dylan, The Band, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and The Rolling Stones, Noble Jacks’ sound can also be heard in more contemporary influences such as Mumford & Sons, The War on Drugs, Fleet Foxes, The Devil Makes Three, Nathaniel Rateliff and the much-missed Justin Townes Earle.
