Video Premiere: Daniel Meade “Your Madness is My Medicine”

The latest single from Daniel Meade is the wonderfully uptempo ‘Your Madness is My Medicine’, which surges along on rolling, flowing piano with a great sense of urgency.  It’s a clash of boogie woogie rock ‘n’ roll – the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard – with modern influences.  From start to finish, it’s totally compelling musical chaos, spilling and tumbling and roaring along.  Meade is ably supported by Ross McFarlane on drums, Lloyd Reid on guitar and Deke McGee on horns, all adding to the bustling nature of the song.

‘Your Madness is My Medicine’ is the title track from Meade’s upcoming album, due out on 27th October 2023.   He says of the song and album: “I’ve always felt destined to return to this style of music, it was inevitable really.  I’ve covered a lot of ground musically the last ten years but sitting at the piano, belting this sort of stuff out, is where I feel most at home.  I’ve come full circle here, musically and from a writing perspective.  Although it’s very different compared to my recent releases, it feels more like a homecoming than a departure to me, and it’s good to be back.”

Meade’s music manages to cover a huge range of genres, from rockabilly to blues, country to rock, there’s a bit of everything in his back catalogue.  Over the years, his talents have been recognised by many and he’s toured with the likes of The Proclaimers, Sturgill Simpson, Old Crow Medicine
Show, Diana Jones and Pokey LaFarge.  This new direction is sure to get you moving – enjoy.
