Video Premiere: Moors & McCumber “Survival”

We are delighted to premiere ‘Survival’, the video for the title track of the forthcoming album from Moors & McCumber.  James Moors and Kort McCumber are both supremely talented multi-instrumentalists who had each released six albums of their own before meeting at a music festival and forming a vocal harmony duo.  Their fine musicianship and sophisticated arrangements, along with their prolific songwriting skills, have ensured that the pair have built up a loyal fanbase.  Above all, the combination of their voices is what set sets them apart.  They have a rare gift for warm harmonies and creating beautiful melodies, evident once again on this single.

‘Survival’ is a heartfelt commentary on life in today’s world, where we can feel pressured on all sides by negativity and problems. It can be overwhelming. There’s a simple message, here, that the key to surviving in such times is love: “What we need is love // A chance to rest our minds // When everything is crowding in // And your patience is growing thin // What you need is love.”  The duo’s performance is earnest and sincere and, as you watch and listen to Moors and McCumber sing, it’s easy to be swept along.

The forthcoming album is due to be released on 15th October and Moors & McCumber have continued to develop their songcraft on ten new big-hearted songs with universally recognised themes.  ‘Survival’ will be their seventh album together, following on from the success of the acclaimed ‘Pandemonium’, ‘Aisling’ and ‘Acrobats’ amongst others.  Check it out.
