Video Premiere: Paul Alexander Low “Shine”

With his soaring vocal buoyed by a choir as the song builds to its climax, Paul Alexander Low delivers a heartfelt thank you to frontline workers and a message of hope for us all.  ‘Shine’ is a warm, earnest and optimistic song, full of energy and positivity.  The quality of musicianship is high with session players Jeremy Stacey (Noel Gallagher, Robbie Williams & Ryan Adams) and Simon Johnson (Tom Jones) appearing on the single.  It was conceived during the first Lockdown when Low found himself in awe at the courage of key workers standing up to the pandemic and shining a light for everyone else during dark times.

As well as recognising the vital contribution made by frontline workers, Low is also shining a light on a very important cause.  Inevitably, the isolation and economic impact of the pandemic has had a huge effect on people’s mental health.  As we focused on physical health, mental and emotional wellbeing suffered.  100% of the proceeds from ‘Shine’ will go to mental health charity MIND.  This is a superb cause that needs your support.  Low explains the intention of the song: “I hope I can do a little bit to recognise the efforts of many frontline workers and raise money for a charity that supports the mental health and wellbeing of a widely affected population.”

‘Shine’ is due to be released on 23rd April before Low’s forthcoming album ‘Sunshine After the Rain’, which is coming later this year.
