What better way to start your week than with this, the new single from London based quartet The Hanging Stars whose music has been described as “mainlining the dying embers of the early 70s psychedelic folk and cosmic country scenes, transforming them into an energized new sound for our times”. They’re releasing their second album “Songs From Somewhere Else” on February 9th, and Honeywater from it opens with a nice steel guitar riff, which drifts into a sparkly melody before soaring into a rapturous chorus finally ending with an exquisite coda. All that in one song. You can catch them at their single launch show at Servant Jazz Quarters in London on 22nd November.
