Check out the intensity of the latest single from international band The Trouble Notes. Featuring the blistering violin of Bennet Cerven from the USA, the powerful percussion of Australian drummer Julian Lardis, and the guitar of German musician Florian Eisenschmidt, the band benefit from global influences and a dynamic blend of sounds. ‘Storm Searching’ begins as an acoustic folk number, with plucked violin notes above gently strummed guitar, before the pace and urgency suddenly pick up. A minute in and the track bursts into life with Eisenschmidt’s forceful, distorted electric guitar and Lardis’s restless drumming. Cerven delivers breathtaking electric violin; the sound is searing, piercing as his notes soar with sparking energy, driving us swiftly through this absorbing musical journey. It’s a pulsating fusion of folk and rock, full of tension and vigour.
The drama of the music is matched by the stunning locations in the video. The band members were filmed on Ireland’s Cliffs of Moher, at the historic Botallack Mines in Cornwall, England, and in Eastern Australia.
Over the last decade, The Trouble Notes have performed around the world, wowing audiences with their explosive blend of genres and instruments and their dynamic performances. Now, we can look forward to a new album, featuring ‘Storm Searching’, in 2025. The new tracks focus on a narrative of heroes battling adversity and overcoming challenges, both externally and internally. Their signature sound has developed a darker edge on the new material.
The Trouble Notes are about more than music.
