‘Daydreams‘ is the latest single from Big Wheels, who regard themselves as an unlikely duo. Which may be an odd thing to say, but Cass Ford had a country music upbringing on her parents’ tour bus whilst Lawson Doyle’s musical background is in rock and roll. You may be thinking that country and rock and roll gave birth to rockabilly, good thought but in fact the Australian pairing lean into a Laurel Canyon vibe. Of ‘Daydreams‘ Cass says that it “is a song that holds a special place in our hearts, as it captures the essence of our journey as a band and the endless possibilities that lie ahead. Adam Lytle has shared 'Highway Nightmare' with Americana UK - it's the lead single from his solo debut album 'This is the Fire' which will be released in October. 'Highway Nightmare' is a brooding song, a tension filled journey along roads that lead...well, nowhere. And from which there is no…

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
