Last month, Nick Lowe and YepRoc announced the release of Lowe’s latest album “Indoor Safari’ in collaboration with Los Straitjackets. You can read about that here. Since releasing his last album – 2013’s “ Quality Street: A Seasonal Selection for all the Family” – Lowe has toured three continents with Los Straitjackets, recording a series of rapid-fire singles and EPs along the way. In time-honoured fashion, he has kept fine-tuning those songs and coming up with new ones. With help from Alex Hall “they all sound of a piece” now says Lowe, adding that with the old Straitjacket magic “hey, presto, you’ve got the sauce on it all.”
To promote the new record, Lowe has announced a run of shows in the UK and Ireland in September 2024. He kicks it off at the legendary London Palladium on 24th September 2024, where Chris Difford (Squeeze) will be a special guest. The tour will make stops in Milton Keynes, Sunderland, Dublin, Manchester and Birmingham. As a taster of what to expect, you can see (below) Lowe and the Straitjackets revisiting one of Basher’s best-known songs earlier this year.
All dates are Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets, except for Dublin which is Nick Lowe solo.

Longtime fan of Nick Lowe. What I can’t understand, however, is why he is accompanied by a band that performs with masks. For what is this nonsense? Show their faces, idiots!
Geez, calm down mate.
Would you unmask KISS….?
🙂
