Well that’s it from us for this week. It’s PAYDAY for many people and if you’re dreamimg of a future when you can actually go out the of house without a wall of unbearable heat hitting you, why not invest in a ticket for our 25 year anniversary event. It takes place across 2 stages in Liverpool at the end of November and features Chuck Prophet and Steve Wynn among others. Tickets are available from this link.
We leave you in the meantime dear reader with our second classic clip of the day in the form of a recording of a band I have often made the case for to anyone who will listen, Chicago, whose Terry Kath was described as the “best guitarist in the universe” by no less than Jimi Hendrix. This clip is of the band performing Just You ‘N’ Me from their 1974 album Chicago VI, which was written by trombonist Jimmy Pankow for his then-wife, and the reason for sharing it in our sign-off this week is that it features Walt Parazaider who died last week, and who plays a fairly amazing soprano saxophone solo in the middle of the original recording. Other than Kath himself who died in the 1970s, Parazaider is the first member of the original line-up to pass. The rest of the band are amazingly still touring.
Take care, don’t forget Palestine and keep fighting those fascists. See you next week.

Hendrix also said that the Chicago horn section “played with one lung” they were so good together. Those early Chicago albums with Terry Kath are exceptional.
He did Tony! The band were so damn cool in the early 70s, there’s a clip of them all riding horses at the beginning of a tv special which I can’t get over, it always, um, makes me smile.
