Today’s song comes from Abigail Lapell’s album ‘More Songs About Love‘, an extended companion to her acclaimed 2025 JUNO Award-nominated album ‘Anniversary. ‘ On this track from the album we find the Toronto songwriter and multi-instrumentalist duetting with Tony Dekker the driving force behind Great lake Swimmers. Abigail Lapell says of the ode to dysfunctional love: “I loved recording this acoustic duo version of ‘Wait Up’ with Tony. I feel like it brings out such a different, more intimate side of the song and was super fun to play and sing live together.”
