Annie Keating “Kindred Spirit” – Listen

Annie Keating didn’t have a great 2020. There was the global pandemic, and New York City was badly hit by that. This was the spur for Annie Keating to relocate from Brooklyn to Massachusetts to experience some personal healing, and to keep her family as safe as she could.  Musically it turned out to be the right thing to do as well – new scenes and an altered lifestyle led to writing inspiration which in turn led to the new album ‘Bristol County Tides‘, out on June 4th.  The songs are stories of love and friendship and… a common bond through hardship.  ‘Kindred Spirit‘ is certainly one of the latter, with its empathy for someone who has suffered unfairly.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
