Ben Glover, the Northern Irish singer-songwriter, has announced the release of his latest album ‘And The Sun Breaks Through The Sky’ on 26th April. The record will be released on Goldrush Records.
The album is Glover’s first since 2018’s ‘Shorebound’ for which he won the UK Americana Music Association’s Best Album award. The subsequent lockdown in 2020 brought about a change in Glover’s relationship with music. He explains: “The pandemic forced me to essentially break the creative cycle that I had been on for twelve years.” This shift allowed him to embrace a more introspective approach to music-making.
Since moving to Nashville, Glover has been a prolific collaborator with fellow songwriters and performers including Gretchen Peters, Mary Gauthier, Amy Speace, Kim Richey and Nielson Hubbard. ‘And The Sun Breaks Through The Sky’ features several of these collaborations, including some previously recorded by the co-writers.
Glover co-produced the album with Dylan Alldredge at Alldredge’s Skinny Elephant Recording in Nashville with an impressive supporting cast of fellow performers.
