Ben Sures “End Of The World” – pass those buns…

Canadian folk troubadour Ben Sures takes a wry look at the impending apocalypse – either a resurgence of the one we’re currently traversing or some other one nature, or humanity, can conjure up to replace it.  And his conclusion is that, well he might as well have some fun before its all too late.  Perhaps try some new food, indulge in a cinnamon bun or let a few people know what he really thinks.  Which will work out fine unless it’s not the end of the world, which might make things…tricky.

End of the World‘ comes from Sures’ tenth album ‘The Story That Lived Here‘ that came out ten days ago.  It’s an album chock-full with hard-earned wisdom about life, the end of life, what to do with the rest of one’s time and how to go forwards when all those kids either leave home or just won’t talk to you anymore.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
