News of a new record from songwriter/vocalist/guitarist combo Greg Keelor and Jim Cuddy, Blue Rodeo are one of Canada’s most iconic bands with millions of records sold, an induction into the Canadian Hall of Fame, and a host of accolades. 1000 Arms is their 14th studio album and apparently “finds the band in their prime — tuning in and turning it up with a record that’s both reflective and energetic.” Cuddy says: “Greg and I have this strange symbiosis which is sometimes contrasting and marrying. We write in isolation. We don’t know what the other one is writing, but it seemed like we came with a much more energetic record this time than we have for some time.”
It also revisits the luscious harmonies that made “so many listeners fall in love with their music in the first place.” If you’re in love with their music then you’re going to be bereft as they’ve only announced US dates for now but they’ll hopefully head over to these waters in 2017.
