Eric Bolander “Magic Moon” – Listen

Eric Bolander is busy working on his third album, after last year’s well received ‘The Wind.‘   In the meantime he’s prepared a couple of singles to bridge the gap, with ‘Magic Moon‘ the first of these.

With attention grabbing lyrics from the start, Bolander tells us that the protagonist of this song is ‘on a space pontoon with the moon in tow / He doesn’t know what to do where to go / He’s just trying to live his whole life in search of her‘.  The song also brings in a lot more electric guitar to fill out the more acoustic troubadour sound that formed Eric Bolander’s last release.  It works.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
