It was the 65th GRAMMY awards on Sunday (the CAPS in GRAMMY is always so jarring, it feels like they’re shouting) although we got distracted by the final episode of Happy Valley so forgive us for being a bit late with this news. As usual there were a million and one categories including a roots section which included awards for Americana, folk, bluegrass and blues, the last of which was won by, as the Daily Mail put it, “unknown blues singer Bonnie Raitt”. Here are all the nominees and winners, and hey if you want the whole list of winners in every category, maybe book some time off work then head to the official GRAMMY awards site here.
