Jay Pollmann could be described as a restless soul – since his last EP he’s steered a singular path: putting music on hold and getting a factory job, deciding that wasn’t for him so quitting, selling his house and all his possessions, buying and renovating a travel trailer and then began travelling full time with his wife and 3 children throughout Eastern Canada in 2019, playing shows along the way. That’s an extreme path back to music, but the end result is a new album ‘One Day Older None the Wiser‘ due tomorrow.
‘In the Land of Standing Water and Sunken Cars‘ is inspired by the idea of leaving behind something and somewhere safe. It comes as no surprise that it was inspired by that restlessness described above.
