Late shows, new album, UK tour dates – Lucy Dacus is busy

It’s all happening in the world of Lucy Dacus – her third album ‘Home Video‘ is out today, and judging by the Tracks we’ve already previewed it’s going to be a well-received one. The album is full of stories of becoming oneself, the phrase “musical diarist” is one that Dacus is getting used to hearing but these are stories that chime remarkably well with her own experience.

So – an album, great but hardly a reason to declare a state of busyness – ah well, there’s the promotion with all the big US late shows being visited (see a performance from Kimmel below) and then add on the tour.  It’s a big tour, across North America and then cutting a swathe through Europe.  For our purposes though the key dates are:

Fri. March 18, 2022 – Leeds, UK @ Brudenell Social Club
Sun. March 20, 2022 – Glasgow, UK @ St. Lukes
Mon. March 21, 2022 – Dublin, IE @ The Button Factory
Wed. March 23, 2022 – Manchester, UK @ Gorilla
Thu. March 24, 2022 – Bristol, UK @ SWX
Fri. March 25, 2022 – London, UK @ Kentish Town Forum

And for someone whose star is rising so rapidly we’ve got to wonder if those shows aren’t going to sell out quite quickly.  So, here’s that video:

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
