The New York singer-songwriter is found in a pensive mood contemplating what it is that makes us us, what it is to live, and what if anything is the purpose that we should be striving to found. And are any of the answers we find any more enlightening than “that one holiday with the lights and the dying tree.” Something to think on – and it was partly the pandemic which set Nathaniel Bellows on thjis particular path as he explains it: “I wrote this song throughout the pandemic, and in the wake of my father’s death, all the while reflecting on the question: What makes us who we are?”
