And that’s this very weekend coming up – on June 12th there’s the opportunity to watch (at a fairly reasonable time even with the seven-hour difference between UK and US Central Time) an impressive lineup of artists, with the bill topped by the incomparable Mary Gauthier. Along the way there are any number of artists regular readers will be familiar with from Americana UK, with The Accidentals, Liv Greene, Sadie Gustafson-Zook and Izzy Heltai all having featured on our pages before.
Queerfolk Fest is an offshoot of Bluegrass Pride, a non-profit organisation whose mission is to uplift LGBTQ+ musicians and creators in roots music. The music can be accessed via Queerfolkfest.com, Passim.org, or by watching the livestream on Queerfolk Fest or Club Passim’s Facebook or YouTube accounts. Anyone can attend free of charge, but there’s a suggested tip jar of $20.
