Rich Mattson’s biography is just too full to encapsulate in a Track feature – the short story is he started playing in his first band at the age of 13 and forty years and multiple bands later one of his current projects is the “cosmic folk-rock” of Rich Mattson and the Northstars. Along the way Rich Mattson has shared the stage with the likes of Wilco, Ryan Adams and Uncle Tupelo – so that’s some Americana credentials he’s holding.
