Something for the weekend: American Aquarium “Down at the Twist and Shout”

That’s it for us for another week, and we leave you dear reader with a track from the new album by American Aquarium out today – ‘Slappers, Bangers & Certified Twangers, Vol. 1’ contains 10 covers of 90s country hits, which might sound awful, including as it does a song by Toby Keith, but also includes this cover of Mary Chapin Carpenter’s ‘Down at the Twist and Shout’ which tbh doesn’t quite match the giddy heights of the original but is a song you can’t really hear too often. Enjoy the penultimate weekend of having to freeze your balls off just to have a drink with a friend. Have a good one.

It’s a great sounding album and a nice surprise!
