OUCH!

A very brief column this week as I recover from having my knee chopped out and replaced with some metal work. Suffice it to say all seems to have gone well and the bruising looks suitably impressive in a Hammer Horror kind of way, but tbf not feeling up to much writing-wise – could be the drugs or the not sleeping – not sure which bit please bear with me for a couple of weeks.

Therefore, I have been flat on my back listening to stuff, and the new Mavis Staples continues to impress, as does the new Night Flight and the radio show is littered with new stuff and old. As ever ….

Hi Keith – keep bumping into you and your jacket at gigs and next time we can talk war stories and compare scars. I got a new knee on 8 May and all is good. Do the exercises use a stick (to keep off small children) and you’ll be fine. I think I have the same picture!! Take care Richard
