Following the release of their album “I’ll Be Yours” which we reviewed last week, Los Angeles band The Americans have announced a UK/EU tour for November, which includes dates at The Louisiana in Bristol, Gullivers in Manchester and London’s Borderline. Having started out as a roots band enthralled by pre-war American country and blues, they have evolved into an amalgamation of those influences, injected with a blue collar rock’n’roll attitude, “absorbing and reconfiguring the history of American music from Chuck Berry and Tom Waits to Bruce Springsteen.” Oh and the lead singer has very good toothpaste. Here are those dates.

Canadian Northcote (Matt Goud), who we're big fans of here at AUK, and Colorado songwriter Jon Snodgrass (from self-described "country and mid-Western" band Drag the River) are joining forces for a whistle stop four-date tour of the UK in Bristol, Southampton, Manchester and London next month. Northcote will return to the UK for the first…
