The new single from Sara Rachele is ‘Scorpio Moon’, but this track is the rather cool B-side of said single: it is a cover of Heart’s ‘Alone‘, which takes a slow and swaying approach to the song rather than building to raucous choruses. It’s so distinctive from that version that it lives its own life with no-looking back. Sara Rachele has trod the punk to folk to Americana path, along the way working with the Dap Kings (on her new album) and recording an album of folk/bluegrass in Nashville. The upcoming album, also called ‘Scorpio Moon‘ is due out in the Autumn and promises more of this singer-songwriter, with cool stylings, vibe.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
