Track Premiere: Wes Charlton “Snow Covered Cars”

Wes Charlton is gearing up to release his latest album, ‘Morning Stars‘, on September 28th. It’ll be his third full length solo release, and ‘Snow Covered Cars‘ is the lead single. There’s a classic rock feel to the song, with chunky guitar work and stabs of organ for a definite CSN feel. It was a song that Wes enjoyed recording, as he says: “This song came quick…it’s kind of a series of vignettes…little movie scenes…Recording this was a blast…Kevin Salem took some Crazy Horse out of his pocket and led us home from there.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?

  1. Loved the cut “Snow Covered Cars”! This album is a breakthrough of sorts, to me, as Wes strongly returns to the scene and I suspect gains respect with this new collection of heartfelt, well thought songs about life.
