‘Up There in the sky’ is the latest single from Irish rocker Ben reel. Filmed in black and white in an Irish boxing club, the video is a fitting accompaniment to a song about rising to challenges and taking your chances. The characters in Reel’s songs live hard lives and make tough choices. It’s taken from Reel’s new album, his ninth, ‘The Nashville Calling’, which was produced by Will Kimbrough and Tommy Womack. On the album, he was supported by the likes of Gary Tallent on bass guitar. The result is another engaging set of songs from a versatile troubadour.
