The date – 1979, the place – Madison Square Garden. On-stage it’s Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. The footage is part of the No Nukes concerts/record/film and captures The Boss in full flow at the height of his rock and roll powers. It’s a beautiful thing – we noted the lacklustre crowd at stage front, and the truly grateful crowd who had got the cheaper tickets and were behind the band. It also seems that The Boss and the current writer are alumni of the same school of dance – good to know.
