Video Premiere: J.C. Wright “When There’s Nowhere Left To Turn”

Check out the new single from London-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist J.C. Wright.  ‘When There’s Nowhere Left To Turn’ is a piano-led song full of hummable melody and a flowing tunefulness that brings positivity to this end-of-the-world love anthem.  As the song progresses, instrumental layers build until it soars.  Wright is aiming for the profound and majestic and ‘When There’s Nowhere Left to Turn’ sweeps us along pulling the listener into its catchy currents.

The single is taken from the brand new EP, “In The Halfway House Of Hearing”, which is out now.  Wright’s career has seen him play in various bands for major labels and produce for the acclaimed The Arthur Brother and emerging artist Flora Hibberd amongst others.  Now, Wright’s latest work is a collection of songs that are deeply personal and yet also universal, covering a range of themes: love, loss, longing, regret, alcohol and substance abuse, death and the afterlife.  Dark, confessional lyrics are delivered through timeless, classy songwriting. Though the subject matter can be challenging, the EP is infused with hope and there’s a musical brightness to Wright’s well-crafted, folk-inspired songs.  Enjoy.
