Walker Tex “Death” – as inevitable as taxes

Well, here’s a cheerful start to the week – but amongst all the love and goodwill we like to spread around we at Americana UK know that there’s a darker side to this life.  And Walker Tex knows that too, as he says about his song: “Concept?  ‘Death’, Ever present at the back of the mind or subliminally calling. The cold and physical manifestations of such a thought.”

Walker Tex is a Scottish singer-songwriter who has spent the last few years finding his direction, moving from covers to a darker country-folk style.  With a little grungy guitar mixed in for good measure.

We promise you something cheerier for tomorrow….trust us.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
