Accompanied by his sons Lukas and Micah, Willie Nelson was the guest on an episode broadcast this week of ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’, playing ‘Hello Walls’ which Willie wrote for Faron Young’s 1961 album of the same name. You can watch the clip below.
Earlier in the week, the Nelsons hosted a Come and Toke It! 4/20 livestream special – the 4/20 being both the date and the time it lasted for – which featured performances and appearances from among others Kacey Musgraves, Angel Olsen, Margo Price, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Morby, Hiss Golden Messenger and Ziggy Marley who serenaded Willie with a special version of Bob Marley’s ‘One Love’. The show raised money for the Last Prisoner Project which advocates for prisoners arrested for cannabis-related crimes. If you have a spare few hours you can watch the whole thing here – no spliff needed but you do need a Facebook account.
