We are delighted to share the video premiere of ‘Go’ from Elaine Palmer. With a hint of menace and a bluesy edge to her vocal, Palmer has, once again, demonstrated her songcraft and ear for an engaging melody. Throughout the song the driving rhythm builds alongside the tension as Palmer delivers her melodic message with an underlying bittersweet grit. This is a song with atmosphere. The expansive, beautiful shoreline in the video reflects the soaring chorus.
The respected songwriter, who hails from an isolated village on the North Yorkshire Moors, has released several well-received albums, including 2017’s haunting ‘Still Life’, which was followed up by the ‘Desert Songs’ EP last year.
Known for tuneful, authentic country, characterised by layers of guitar, piano and pedal steel, Palmer has been lauded by the likes of Bob Harris, Mojo and Uncut. Over the years, she’s also shared a stage with the likes of Ryan Adams, KT Tunstall, King Creosote and Damien Rice. This is absorbing stuff – check it out.
