Dusty Wright “That’s All Right” – deconstructed

A song taken from Dusty Wright’s new album ‘Dusted Off‘ (reviewed here) offering versions of favourite songs that he has enjoyed covering over the years.  This take on Arthur “Big Boy” Crudup’s tune from 1946 is given a J.J. Cale inspired spin.

Dusted Off‘ marks Dusty Wright’s move into double digit solo albums, and was mixed by Martin John Butler and mastered by Bobbi Giel at Welcome to 1979 in Nashville.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
