Here is the fourth single from Diana DeMuth, taken from upcoming album ‘Misadventure’.  Most notable for a wonderful, uplifting chorus, ‘Into My Arms’ features Wesley Shultz of The Lumineers, with whom DeMuth should have been touring this year.  This song, like the rest of the album, was produced by Simone Felice and David Baron and the result is a striking, immediately-likeable sound. Video: Diana DeMuth “Rose of Nantucket”

Following a couple of recent gigs in London with producer and collaborator Simone Felice, Diana DeMuth releases her latest single, ‘Rose of Nantucket’.  Her powerful, emotive voice and the atmospheric video combine well.  DeMuth says of the video: “The living portraits we incorporated are a big part of what brings this song to life. Each portrait has a loneliness to it but when strung together there’s also a feeling of camaraderie and a reminder that we’re not really ever truly alone, which is exactly what ‘Rose Of Nantucket’ is about.”

 

 

Simone Felice + Diana DeMuth, The Slaughtered Lamb, London, 15th January 2020

The Slaughtered Lamb is a tiny space for a headliner as big as Simone Felice – it’s a basement room below a pub with maybe a capacity of a hundred, or a hundred and fifty at a push, set up with tables, stools, side benches and a standing area behind all of these. No surprise then that it was already near full for support Diane DeMuth, whose new album ‘Rose of Nantucket‘ was produced by Simone Felice. DeMuth is a leather jacketed troubadour with a powerful voice. Her set found its ground with what were – more or less – love songs, but really hit its stride with the songs that had that Felice influence.
