‘Southern Raphael‘ is the lead single from Will Stewart’s new album ‘Way Gone‘ which is a follow up to 2018’s well praised ‘County Seat.‘ On the album Stewart powers through six songs telling the stories of disparate but all desperate characters.‘Southern Raphael‘ takes life at a lick in a bar where you can have “a beer and a shot” and then watch the “drunk guys fight“. Where you can meet “the queen of the dive bars” and not know her name. There’s something going on – with signs which are somewhere between romantic and warnings to get the hell out.
