Toronto trio Lonesome Ace Stringband lament ‘The Echo’ in their new video. The group’s three-part harmonies are classic old-timey Americana and lift the track to heights that belies their simple lineup of bass, banjo, and fiddle. ‘The Echo’ is the fourth single from the group’s new album release ‘Try To Make It Fly’. The trio is seen performing in close quarters in the video as scenes of the Canadian landscape fly by like a nostalgic dream on Super 8 film. Fiddle player John Showman reflected on making the new album, “It felt like a place where we could be ourselves as writers and craft music that would fit the genre regardless of what we found ourselves writing about lyrically,” Showman is joined by Chris Coole on Banjo and Max Malone on upright bass. This is their fifth release as a group.
