It rubbed off on the young Brad as he became a multi-instrumentalist, playing drums one minute and strumming the guitar the next, and writing songs inspired by his heroes from the Beatles to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young to the Cure. Although he’d eventually settle for a sound that draws on the indie-rock Americana of the likes of Wilco and Kurt Vile.
