I think I probably know the answer to this question already, but just thought I’d re-raise the issue about the Gig Guide. I know it was aborted because of SongKick’s event data access policy. I just wondered if there was the remotest chance of it ever being revisited? So many people ask me about where to find a relatively comprehensive listings page. It’s such a shame given that it was such a useful resource while it was available. TIA.

Hi Mark, nice to hear from you! This is something we're still looking at at the moment - the main barrier is that there aren't any free APIs we're aware of which would allow us to pull the data in on upcoming gigs. The only way we could run one for now would involve a manual process of uploading individual dates which we're not sure we have capacity for. I agree it's a real loss not having a gig guide - it was one of my favourite parts of the site as it was so lean and beautifully designed (not by me I have to say), with hyperlinks to maps of venues and tickets and you could search by artist or place or date. It just worked really nicely.

@markamericana: thanks Mark. I’ve found this Reddit thread. Interesting stuff. https://www.reddit.com/r/webdev/comments/1obwkky/whats_the_best_api_for_getting_upcoming_live/
